Blood Pressure
By M. A. Fulmar

Welcome to the A-Z of blood pressure. We hope that you find our articles both useful and interesting.

The blood pressure articles below cover various sub topics but here is a basic introduction.

Although many of us would be aware that a doctor can measure blood pressure using a simple tool to take an accurate measurement of Arterial blood pressure (BP) a cannula is inserted into a blood vessel which is connected to an electronic pressure transducer.

In today's society high blood pressure and related illnesses seem to be on the increase. Influencing a person's BP are various physiological factors, such as diet, exercise, disease, drugs or alcohol, and many others but there may be othercontributing factors such as stress etc.

Western society, in general, would appear to have increasing problems with obesity with a growing number of children being clinically obese. This sad fact can explain why problems with blood pressure are also on the increase. An obese person's heart is under far more strain than a person of average weight, it is therefore of extreme importance that the person loses weight as soon as possible. Fat loss is the only way to go!

The articles below will help you understand more about blood pressure and, hopefully, help you to lead a healthier lifestyle. We hope that by using our articles you will be able to avoid the horrible symptoms of high or low blood pressure (such as dizziness, blurred vision etc.).
